As this sacred holiday approaches, I think more and more about the many blessings in my life–and you, my blogging buddies, are high on the list.
I’m headed out to spend Christmas with my daughter, Wendy, and Jeremy. Bernice is moping around–she doesn’t understand yet that she’s going, too–and the kitties will be perfectly happy with full food and water bowls and plenty of peace and quiet.
Make some memories, my friends, and may God truly bless you.
Merry Christmas!

God bless you, too, Linda, my blogging buddy. I am headed 75 miles north to TN & be with my only child, my son, & precious grandchildren. My dogs knew I was leaving when they saw me packing my overnight bag. A friend will be keeping them until I return. Be blessed, dear lady, on this holiest of nights . Merry Christmas to you & your daughter & all your sweet animals:-)

A blessed Christmas to all. Linda, finished BIG SKY RIVER two days ago–made me laugh and cry. I think this is the most empathetic book you’ve written (and I’ve read almost all of them). The plot was less complicated, but the characters! My mom died of Hodgkins disease when I was 19, after only two years, leaving me with a devastated dad, a twelve year-old brother, and a 8 year-old sister. Boone’s story broke my heart and lifted my spirits. My husband loves your books, too, and we can hardly wait for the next story. He was looking up Missoula in the atlas we keep by our chairs. We are both retired teachers (25 yrs 8th grade Am history, govt, geography for him and 45 yrs middle sch and high sch seniors for me). Just wanted to thank you for the hours we enjoy reading your books. We LOVE reading all kinds of books (we’re NOT literary snobs) and appreciate your warm-hearted stories of the American West. Best wishes and keep writing!

Becky, we must have finished River about the same time.
I commented to my husband that Linda seems so intuitive about what goes on in the minds of children. Such bits of truthfulness always add to the joy of reading fiction.
