#1 NYT bestselling author Linda Lael Miller

Too blessed to be stressed

Those words come from a sign on a local halfway house, and they do seem fitting.

“Big Sky Summer” is coming in June–which means it will be available on the last Tuesday in May.

Today, I brainstormed the next book–“Big Sky Secrets”–which is the last of the Big Sky books.  I will begin writing the story as soon as I get home from Florida–next Monday.  Landry Sutton and Ria Manning are our story-stars.  I can’t wait to introduce them to you, though you will meet them in “Big Sky Wedding.”  (January?  I have to double check.)

The renovations go on.  Today, the work in another bathroom was begun.  This time, there was black mold behind the tub!  The poisonous kind.  Yikes.  Not to worry, though–the problem has been dealt with, but it makes a person wonder.  Suppose I hadn’t decided to renovate now, instead of later?  I definitely believe in divine guidance.  Another carpet was torn out–one more to go–and that’s a big relief to my allergies.

Tomorrow I will draft the outline for the new book, send it off to my beloved editor, Joan Marlow Golan, and then pack for the Florida trip.  I will do my best to blog while I’m away, but as you know, I sometimes run into technical problems when away from home, so please be patient with me.  :)  I will definitely bring back at least one “Florida” prize for the contest.

You are so kind, but please don’t worry about me.  I was VERY tired after finishing “Big Sky Wedding”, but I’m so proud of the book, and I can hardly wait to share it with you.

After the “Big Sky” series comes a new one, set in Wyoming.  I’m thinking up names for fictional towns right now.  :)

I’ll blog again tomorrow, though I will be traveling on Wednesday and will therefore be incommunicado all day, probably.

On March 1 I’ll be appearing at a place called Treasure Island, giving a talk and signing books.  I will post exact details tomorrow.

In the meantime, God bless.  Each and every one of you has a place in my heart–and His.

Have a Great time in the sun! Don’t drop any phones done the shoot. Will the work on the house be over by the time you get home? That sure would be nice. Have fun and relax; sounds like you have another great book on the way to us.

Have read & loved your books since the beginning! Cannot remember if Angelfire or Corbin! Still have them all! Will admit enjoy going to the Kindle though!

It is suppose to be cold here this weekend..in the 40;s at night. Hopefuly you will enjoy the Tampa area… at least no snow :)

Yuck, mold. Glad that is being eradicated, I have heard some stories about it and battled it myself years ago. I too, hope its gone and all the work finished before you return home.

Dear Linda, I fell in love with your books from the first one I opened. Your writing pulls me into the world of cowboys, ladies, romance and the west. I’ve ridden horses never owned one, but I’m a cowgirl at heart. Your books take me there. You’re an awesome artist, yes artist, your words are your medium. Thank you for sharing your wonderful books with us. You said you were header to Tampa, St. Petersburg, Treasure Island of Florida. I was there twice in my life in my childhood years, like 43 yrs ago, but the mere mention of whose places, especially Treasure Island, bring back a flood of wonderful memories for me. I’m sure its changed a lot since then, but I truly hope that you enjoy it when you get the chance. At one time there was a restaurant called The Kingfish restaurant which was on the waterside at John’s pass. Rather unique, and h seafood was sumptuous. It may no longer be there but if it is, it may be a sweet distraction or a great place to nourish your body and mind. Seafood is good for your brain, right? I hope you enjoy your trip, I’m waiting for that new book. I wish I could be there for your signing. I pray for your travel safety and your continued success. Sincerely, Bonnie
