If this is my blog, it must be Tuesday. (In real time, it’s actually Monday, but why quibble over details? We live in a virtual age.)
So, in an effort to lessen any lingering confusion on the part of my loyal and very patient readers, here’s what started this whole strange odyssey. I was kvetching about cyber-gremlins constantly consuming a paragraph or two of my blog entries—if not the whole entire output. One of you commented, quite astutely I might add, that I ought to compose offline and then do the copy-and-paste thing when I was ready to actually post my ramblings.
Good idea! (Why didn’t I think of that? Well, because I just didn’t, that’s all. When it comes to technology, I’m at the telegraph stage.) This way, I would have a hard copy of the entry—no more work vanishing forever into some invisible black hole.
Sounded good to me.
Anyway, I sat down and wrote my heart out and when I went to copy-and-paste—guess what? None of the commands worked. Jen was away on a trip, so I couldn’t consult her. Attempts were made to solve the problem, some of them from across country, but it was no dice. ERRRGGG.
As of today, however, Jen is back from her travels. She solved the problem (operator error, of course) in no time and I was finally able to post Friday’s blog on Monday—embarrassing, since I bragged about blogging every day last week. I did compose the thing then. Sigh.
What a jumble.
This morning, I wrote steadily for a couple of hours, then went in for a routine eye-exam. No, it was not a convenient time, especially since I was on a roll with the story, but then, things like that are never convenient, at least for me. Still, I need new glasses, so I bit the bullet. One of my intentions for this year, in fact, is to keep my appointments if humanly possible—thanks to my ADD, I have a bad habit of rescheduling haircuts, dentist visits, medical exams, etc.—anything that involves sitting still for longer than five minutes. Even writing is a challenge sometimes, for the same reason, but once I pass through this screen and into the world of my imagination, it’s all systems go.
I promised to expand on Friday’s blog, with more of the Things That Work for Me, and I will.
Tomorrow. Which means Wednesday, even though tomorrow is actually Tuesday.
I’m so confused.

Oh goodness you are a hoot.!! Please enjoy your day.

I can understand about your ADD. My husband has ADD and sometimes I have a hard time keeping him on one task at a time.

I am not to far behind you on the the telegraph stage. My daughter, although she lives in a different state, will tell me how to fix or do something. What would we do without our tech friends.
Comment
Isn’t technology fun????? I work with it every day and there are days I would like to go back to the telegraph age.

The main thing to remember when writing anything on a computer is to do like Jesus and “SAVE< SAVE< SAVE"!!!!
love ya girl!
Have a wonderful week!
Comment
Lynn, that is so cute and so TRUE.

What a confused day it must be….BUT YES it is Tuesday…..The sun is shinning here in McLouth, Kansas but it is bitter cold….Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes n gravy with green beans for supper and after cleanup a good book before bed….LIFE IS VERY GOOD…Hope your week is great.

Technology was easier back in the telegraph days. I am not very good a lot of things in modern technology. I even like the way cars were made back in the 60’s & 70’s better than the new models – and it was cheaper to fix them!!!

It’s always fun to read your blogs, Linda, even if the days are a bit mixed up at times. I’m re-reading the Montana Creeds series for probably the 3 or maybe 4th time. I enjoy most all of your characters that it is a pleasure reading your books. I spend my holiday time in Lynnwood (WA), and hit the used book stores for your books. I’ve had better luck finding more of your booking there than if I’m looking for something new. I will purchase your newest bride series new.
Is there any chance you will write a follow up to the Montana Creeds and the Lonesome Bend, Colorado Creeds bringing us up to date on “their” lives? Would love to see what you come up with and how the characters have developed.

I am also technology challenged. Thank goodness for my teenage son!

I hate making doctors appointments, unfortunately since I have a chronic illness they are a fact of life. I was able to do some great scheduling today and I got 3 doctor appointments scheduled the same day one after the other.

Now I am confused because it is Tuesday to me and I usually do the shopping on Tuesday but since I am just started getting over this bug and is was so cold I decided to stay home and mop my floors. Will do the shopping tomorrow because they say we may get a little sunshine, I sure hope so. I am so tired of these gloomy days.

Technology is hard to understand unless you are good at it or a teenager. I always have to get my daughter to help me

Linda,
Have a good week and Congrats to the winners. I like many others can hardly wait to see my name some Monday blog.
I have said so many times that I’m going to throw my blasted computer right out the window. I can so relate to the computer “deciding” what happenings to my work. I think if I was a person that used “cuss words” the computer might be what could caused me to do it LOL. Thank you for your persistence in “beating the computer” so you continue your wonderful encouraging blogs. You are our hero, arrest those little computer bandits
Comment
Linda, you are not alone in this technology age. On one hand, it drives me crazier, since I don’t know what is going on half the time, but on the other hand, if I didn’t have the computer and the cell phone so I could check to see what day it is, I’d be lost a lot of days.
I could look on the calendar, but…if I don’t know what day it is, I don’t know where to look.
I haven’t lost any months, yet.
But, when we DO get your Blogs, they are worth the sometimes wait.
I like the fact that when you mess up, you don’t mind admitting it, and it makes you more likable.

We love you even if you are confused. Welcome to the real world!!!!

Welcome to my world Linda ! I enjoyed the blog anyway, doesn’t matter what day it is or supposed to be!!
Comment
Don’t feel bad i’m having a Monday and Friday the 13th today!
Comment
Who said your posts have to be on any specific day?? I am sure not everyone reads them on a specific day. I’m sure they check in and see if there are any posts and then scroll through them. Now if it were weeks in between postings your readers would be concerned, but if one week it’s on a Tuesday and the next it’s on a Friday…no sweat.

Hi Linda! I teach computers at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota, including computer programming, website development, and introductory computer classes. I’d be happy to be your alternate tech support when Jenni’s not available!
I am only an email away! I have enjoyed your books and blog since I first discovered you about 7 years ago, and I tend to gobble up anything new I come across. Cheers and happy Monday! Krystal

I’m still in the telegraph era as well with the copy and paste thing lol. I enjoy your blogs. Have a great day Linda

I understand completely!

Sometimes the computer confuses me.
Comment
I have a bad case of “operator error” all the time. Good to know I’m not alone. No worries Linda.
Comment
I’m very un-tech oriented, unlike my grown children and grandkids. We just didn’t grow up with it. I don’t think a class or book could teach me! Blessings.

I love this blogging every day!! Really enjoy them!!

My Dear Ms. Linda, the person who told you write it off line and then copy and paste to your blog is light years ahead of me, also. I would have taken the old quill pen to paper and then put it on the blog, and I would have a hard copy. To keep. Computers are such a nudge. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK Some day I would like to take a trip to cyber space and find all my lost college reports and etc. Here is another thought maybe some high officals hack into your blog and translating it into a foreign language to use as their own work. Anything is possible.

So glad I’m not the only one that has computer problems like that.

You have me totally confused !!
Comment
I’ve been there before when it comes to computers and technology. I’ll be totally exasperated and my kid will come over and press like one key and fix it instantly. Then he gives me “the look”. Lol
Comment
No matter the day, it’s always good to read your blog!
Comment
i think being confused adds to the fun of life.hang in there we all get that way.

Comment
Sometimes confusion is good. It keeps you from understanding
the current goings on in our world. I’m your twin when it comes to electronics. Give me a pencil and paper anytime. We all appreciate your fine attempt at blogging every day of
last week or whenever you decide to take on that task.
Take care and we’re looking forward to your next epistle.

I’m confused too!! What day is it???

My daughter was down from Canada for Christmas. She spent one entire day fixing my computer. I seem to scramble it all up somehow?? She says just call me if you have a problem, but she doesn’t talk, its all text! I can’t text from home!

Hi Linda. I’ll confuse you even more by saying that I received your blog Wednesday (today) at 6:15am. LOL. Linda

Did Pt today. It was the biggest workout session ever. I’m knackered..”

You sound like me with putting off appointments, etc. No longer have a car so have to call one of my daughters for help.
Last few times have had her make the appt. since she works so she knows when she can take off.

Cold and snowy in Middle Tennessee today. The kids wanted to stay home and play in it, instead of going to school. Now there is a suprise!

Lol We’ve all been there lately and it seems I’m feeling more confused whenever I’m one with technology.
Thank goodness for my daughter or I’d swear my computer was broken, constantly. She’s always so patient with me.
Hope the rest of your week is leess confusing.

Wish I could have helped you with the copy commands as I’m the one the suggested the offline composition.
I’m really looking forward to your next books so please hang in there. You’re doing great

So glad the new books are comeing out. Its hard to find something so I reread alot of the older books I have. Thanks for all the great stories! Marriage Charm is going to be another good one.

I just plain forget what day it is. The date escapes me often even with a calendar on the wall. Oh well, what does it really matter ( to me anyway). I am ready for spring. Or at least enough snow to get my sleigh out. This kind of weather makes me feel like it looks – grey. Glad you are getting another book written. Blessings to you and yours,

So, if technology is an issue, use Google. My daughter is a techno geek (Makes great money doing her thing for an oil company’s IT dept.) If she has a problem, she googles it. Usually there are youtube.com videos that show her how to fix it.

Hi all and how is it going every one. Here the weather is in the 70’s very pleasant but come on people this January and its suppose to be cold. I love the winter and summer but at the right time. Oh well it could be worse. So i will settle for what i get. Hope all are doing good. Have a great day talk with y’all later.

I have a dockson that loves to sit in the window barking at cats. Most of them are twice her size but she thinks she is big and bad. She wouldnt even know what to do with one if she got it. It would growl at her and she would probably piddle all over herself! Lol!
