I mean the vinyl writing. I bought several of those quotes that stick on the wall and look as though they’re actually painted on the surface. Lots of fun.
Over my bathtub:
“When in doubt, take a bath.” Mae West.
In my office:
“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish based on its ability to climb trees, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” Albert Einstein. (accompanied by an Einstein face with the tongue sticking out.”
Above my office door:
“Once upon a time…”
In my bedroom:
“I am a Jedi, like my father before me.” (He was a cowboy Jedi, but a Jedi just the same.)
I scanned your comments from yesterday and one phrase stood out: “many unanswered questions.” That gave me an idea. What ARE you questions? Ask them in the comment section for today and I’ll answer as many as I can in tomorrow’s blog. (Note: I probably won’t blog until afternoon as tomorrow is Weight Watchers.) See you then!

I have several questions, Linda. Should I ask them one at a time, or…heck…I’ll just dive right in…..
1st question; How is your mom and is she still with you? (I guess that’s 2 questions.
3rd question; Do you ever contact anyone personally, except for the one time I know of?
4th question; How do you go about getting a book to a publisher, or an agent?
Thank you in advance, and I pray everything goes to suit you at Weigh-in tomorrow.

Why is Holt McKettrick’s wife named Lorelei in McKettrick’s Choice, then Lydia in An Outlaw’s Christmas? Have proofers read your other books so they can pick up on these changes?
I’m looking forward to your Civil War novel. I love period books.

Love your stories! Can you give us a hint as to what you will be working on once you finish with the Marriage series? Thanks for your wonderful adventures in reading!

…those quotes that stick on the wall and look as though they’re actually painted on the surface.
Where did you get them, Linda?

My favorite quote is the Mae West quote. As a bit of trivia, she was in her first film in 1932 “Night After Night” and George Raft was the star. She rewrote all her lines in the film. In West’s first scene, a hat check girl exclaims, “Goodness, what beautiful diamonds.” West replies, “Goodness had nothing to do with it, dearie.”
My question – will you have any say in who stars in the Hallmark Channel movies?
Comment
Last Chance Cafe is still one of my all time favorite books. My question is two parts do you ever plan to write another book expanding the characters introduced in that book? Is Hallmark Channel still working to make a movie out of the book?
Thank you for the opportunity to ask,
Tammy

I know you said you were writing a Civil War Novel!! Will there be Love scenes in that novel also and will that be the Hallmark movie?

Linda I have had quotes up on my walls for a few years now. My favorite which is on a kitchen wall that faces dining room table is
” THE FONDEST MEMORIES ARE MADE WHEN GATHERED AROUND THE TABLE “. And ladies I got mine at KOHLS , next to picture frame dept. Also at Target.

May you continue to have success with your weight lose and your writing. You are truly an amazing woman for all you accomplish. SURE DO LIKE YOUR BOOKS.

One of my favorites is a sign that was on Pres. Reagan’s desk;
“There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go
if he doesn’t mind who gets the credit.” I just started your 2nd
“Marriage Pact” book and it’s getting good! Do you know when
your Hallmark movie will get started? And, do you ride your
horses anymore? You’re such an inspiring person.

I love your work and would enjoy knowing what you enjoy most about being an author.

I am BLESSED to have an artist for a child. She is amazing and a great writer, too! If you cannot find the quote you want, contact a local high school to see if a student can paint on your wall.
Just a thought!
Blessings to you and yours.

i have been “accepting” my 65 yr old physical limitations, giving them smug justification for past lifelong activities like skiing and horseback riding. But I had insight yesterday that my youngest granddaughter is only one, and if I want to gift her a wedding dress when the day comes, then I’d better spend the next twenty or so years preparing myself to be able to show up on that day and ENJOY it! So my question is: where did your insight come from to take better care of YOURself?
Comment
Will you write about Mojo and Tucker again???
Comment
Did you write a book called “The Marriage Season”? I just bought “The Marriage Charm” at Barnes & Noble and they suggested that I might also like “The Marriage Season”. I am unable to find it on the Barnes & Noble website.

Hi Linda, any chance you’ll consider writing June-bug and Jacob McCaffrey’s love story? Love all your books, but to me, A Springwater Christmas is ONE of the BEST books I read. Made me laugh, made me cry, LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!
Comment
I’ll take your questions, my my Ms. Miller, you are indeed living life on the edge……….just kidding!
Just one question, well ok, three
1) how’s that handsome little man, our future president, that we were once upon a time praying for (and still am for me as THAT list, esp. youngsters with God’s pathway for him yet to unfold deserves all the prayers I am honored to offer on his behalf, (esp if he’s to be my president one day :-})
2) How’s your little four legged side kick doing during the cold weather months (my 3 can get bogged down and creaky in cooler temps) and last but not least,
3) I know you just had one released, which I proudly own, but I’m greedy, when’s the next one?
oh yeah, if I may be so brazen and reckless, #4,
Comment
OK, now the cyber Grinch or goblin just ate my questions, growl/snarl/moan.
my #4 was to be, any news to be shared bout your Hallmark Channel venture?
Take care Ms Miller, hope weight watchers went gloriously! and may you be blessed with the total protection and shielding from those cyber black hole buggers!

Where did you get the wall stickers? Thanks!

Afer reading others comment may I dare to take yet more time to add, please PLEASE give us more on Montana Creeds, and Kate too would be AWESOME. What about some New York or California McKettrick, Creed or O’Ballivans, Yarbros….
)
I’ll shut up now…sorry, too much caffeine (and the sugar in the Cinnabon cinnamon rolls didn’t help much either.
Comment
Have a wonderful day! Good luck at Weight Watchers!
Comment
I also wonder about Kate McKettrick.
And a combo series of McKettricks and Creeds. You teased us a little about that in Meg’s story (I think it was that one).
And about your Canadian Wrangler, wasn’t he ill a while back? Has he been on your ranch for a long time? How did he get to your ranch from Canada if that’s wher he’s from?
My favorite reading is about ranching / cowboys / their families and the Amish—both so hard working and salt of the earth types.
What a blessing for your daughter in you having her father for Christmas dinner. One of my sons is divorced and he’s cooked Mother’s Day dinner for his daughter’s Mother. Made me proud.
Comment
I LOVE Civil war stories. Can’t wait. Also how do you choose your characters’ names. I’ve always wanted to know that.
Comment
Reading A Wanted Man for probably the 100th time, and I was wondering why the Yarbro family don’t have a presence in Modern Stone Creek. They were prolific and I wonder where they went – or if we could find out.
Ps I’d love to be one of your providers if there is ever a need!!
Comment
Lindsay, I have the whole set (Stone Creek) on CD and listen to them in my car going/coming from work. I love them all, but A Wanted Man and A Man from Stone Creek are my favorite. On A Wanted Man CD it is read by a man and a woman and it makes it so great!
Comment
Proofers. Not providers. That was odd!!

Does Resurrection have a former title? If so what is it? I thought I had read all your books. Thank You.
Comment
“Resurrection” is a novella originally published in a novella. As far as I know, it’s never been released under another title.
Comment
my favorite quote: Every saint has a past–Every sinner has a future.
Love your books and the way the McKettricks have survived for generations. So my question is, where do they go from here?
Comment
My only question is how do you find the energy to all the things you do. Do you ever just get tired?
