And WHAT a week. My mom came down with a case of the flu and wound up in the ER on Thursday–they treated her and released her to come home with me. It’s been good having her here–I can think of better ways to spend time together, though–and she’s on the mend. I’ve been playing nurse and trying real hard not to get sick myself. So far, so good.
This week’s winners are: April McVey and Susan Lee. Congratulations, ladies. As always, a new round begins today. All you have to do is comment, and you’re entered.
I’ve started a new book and I’m very pleased with it. More on that, and the famous Wishing Machine, soon.
In the meantime, stay warm and stay well.

Asking for prayers this week. My Mom needs all 3 valves in her heart replaced ASAP and Doctors not sure if they can. We will know Friday if it is doable. Daughter found out no heart beat in her pregnancy. Monday has not been good!
Hope your Mom gets well soon and you can have fun time.

Sending prayers your way and hope for a speedy recovery my mom had a quadruple bypass years go she has since passed, miss her everyday.

Dear Pam,
I’m so sorry for your family’s woes! I am praying for your Mom that God will guide the surgeon’s hands! He can do it!
I pray your daughter’s ultrasound was incorrect! If not, I ask God for strength and comfort for you, your daughter, and the rest of the family. I’ve heard so many times over the years, if a pregnancy is unsuccessful, it’s your body’s way of telling you something was wrong. My niece brought a pregnancy to full term, but the baby was no longer alive when she was born. They had two extremely health kids a couple of years later. I pray your family finds comfort and strength, and for calm after the storm. God’s plan is perfect – it can’t be otherwise. We are only human and would love to understand or tell Him that He’s wrong, but I know He doesn’t mind if we grieve, even if it’s for a long time.
All my best,
Hilda

Dear Linda and ALL
Just remember, it was noted earlier in the News that the flu is not
The same strain as last year’s flu. So just try and say well by using zincs, vitamins and if needed prescription for antivirals within the 1st 24-48 hrs.

So sorry to hear your mom is sick hope she is better soon and at least you get to spend time with her. Seems everyone has been sick this year including me and it took a trip to the doctor to get over what I had and it was rough. This flu going around is not funny, I had a cousin that didn’t make it through it, although they did find out that he had a bad heart but was sick with the flu when he past. He was only about 57 though so that is young. Take care of your mom.

The only trouble is, your books are so good, once I start them I can’t put them down so I’m finished with them too soon! Have a great week, take good care of your mom and stay healthy!

Absolutely adore your books. I’ve been collecting so that I have all of a line and can enjoy following families and communities. Coming from the Frozen North – Prince Edward Island in Canada – we have become snowbirds wintering in Florida. I take your books with me on my ereader and enjoy seeking out titles missing from my collection everywhere I go.
We have visited Montana several times and can’t wait to head our motorhome west again. Your writing gives me a new perspective on the places we explore and the people we meet. Thanks!!

I can surely empathize with you. I spent 2 weeks taking care of my 89 year old dad with the flu. I highly recommend lots of hand washing, hand sanitizer, Lysol spray, and I even wore a mask for awhile. May seem extreme, but if I got it, we would have really been in a pickle. Love your books.
