Rising and Shining (Or doing my best to shine, anyhow)

I love it when I wake up early–that way, I have a few hours to putter, drink coffee, feed indoor critters, listen to the Daily Audio Bible on my iPod and write this blog without feeling rushed.  Ideally, I’m at my computer by nine a.m., that being when I do my best writing.  Today, I’ll be leaping straight into Parable with both feet.  :)    This just in: there will be three MORE Parable books next year.  YEEHAW!!!  I do love the place and the people and yes, the dogs, horses and cats.

I’ll be heading out to the lake for a barbecue with the kids tomorrow, and probably Bernice and I will stay overnight.  The fireworks over the lake are something to see, and time with Wendy and Jeremy is precious, of course.  They’re planning to return to Californnia in the fall, but I’m loving having them here for the whole summer.  Jeremy has already made significant progress with my poor neglected flowerbeds, bless his heart.

Have a safe and happy Fourth, give a thought to those who guard our freedom with their very lives, and remember, please, that small animals can be terrified by the noises, so it’s good to keep them inside and reassure them a lot.  I realize that most of you already know that, and will automatically do the right thing, but when it comes to four-leggers, I can’t help nagging.  :)

I’ll be back on Thursday.

I just finished ‘Big Sky Country’ yesterday. Slade & Joslyn’s story was amazing and I can’t hardly wait to see what you’ve come up with for Hutch & Kendra. Your way with words makes me feel as though I’m right there on the pages with your characters. I am so thrilled to hear that there will be three more Parable books next year but I do have to admit that waiting has never been one of my strong suites. I know though that they will be worth the wait. Hope you had a great 4th.

Happy 4th of July. We are under great fire danger here in Southwest Montana and will not be allowed to shoot off fireworks this 4th of July. So everyone save your fireworks for a big New Years Eve event. Fire season should be over by New Years.

Have a great Summer. Waiting for the next book.

Oh Linda darling, you have me excited about the new books and they are a whole year away. How ever will I stay occupied for that long – minus the Hutch/Kendra & Boone/Tara books of course. You tease us so much but don’t you dare stop. Have a wonderful time in New York!! Love Ya… 8)

My precious four legged baby, Ella, faired better last night than I thought she would, but she still was not a happy camper. She is scared to death of thunder also so she had a double whammy last night here in Alabama! I am so glad to hear there will be 3 more books next year of Parable…absolutely loved the first one…can’t wait for the rest!!
