#1 NYT bestselling author Linda Lael Miller

O, what a beautiful morning…

The soundtrack from “Oklahoma” is running through my head today–the sky is a brilliant blue, the sun shining fit to draw the flowers right up out of the ground, already blooming.  YES.  It’s my kind of day.  :)

Today is a writing day, and I’ll be reading galleys over the weekend–that’s the print out of a book just before it goes to press–which must be ready by Monday.  (I was a little behind on my deadline, I confess.)

Her Bernicieness is waiting for Jenni to arrive and take her for a visit to the barn.  :)  This is a highlight, and she starts barking happily whenever Miss Jenni or Mary Ann even think about coming to work.  She had a bath and a haircut yesterday, and looks baffled and cute.  I take her on the weekend, and love the chance to visit with the horses if they haven’t already been turned out to enjoy their pasture.  They love staying out for twenty-four hours, as they do in good weather, but the stall doors are left open.  The old Buckaroo sometimes puts himself away.  Traveler and Banjo, the boys, are always up to mischief of some kind, and Mama Coco has work hard to keep them in line.  April is a sweetie who never causes a problem of any kind, and Skye, a beautiful Appaloosa, is the vain one.

In the art department, I’m on a watercolor kick.  Having lots of fun splashing all those colors onto artist trading cards and the pages of my two art journals.

Here’s hoping you’ll have a wonderful, restorative weekend.

Be happy, be well, and be kind.  So many people just need a smile or a kind word to get them through.

Dear Linda, My Episcopal priest recommended your books. I have read everyone I can find and have enjoyed everyone of them. You write to well that I feel as if I really know the people in your books. They are all so fascinating. As a member of two book clubs, I am always recommending your books. Thank you for sharing your gift for writing. Your books transform my life to new places and people. Thank you. Martha Kay P. S. It is good to read about strong women who have so much love.

Hi, Linda. Thanks for the snippets about the equine gang. :) I can’t think of a better way to spend a few minutes than to stand, lean on the corral fence, and watch Buck and Skye and the rest of the horses enjoy the day! Have a great weekend. Looks like I’ll be able to do some gardening tomorrow! Halelujah! -Hilda

Linda, LOVE the McKettricks and the Creed series. Have all and they have all been read many times.

The best thing would be MOVIES of these books, like mini series, oh that would be a great stress reliever, better than chocolate…
and we don’t usually pass on chocolate.

    CS

I agree – let’s vote for mini series of both the McKettricks and Creeds. Of course a few paragraphs would have to be
censored, but we all know what’s going on during that time !
I have read and re-read every one of Linda’s books and have them all.
What an awesome author. I always feel like I’m the gal
    she’s writing about- (oh I wish). !

I totaly agree that a mimi series should be made. I would most certainly have the T.V. remote for the nights it was on.
