I had no internet service all day yesterday–I’m not sure why–so I was unable to blog.
This week’s winners are Bonnie G. Fahy and Jennifer Damone–congratulations! We’ll begin a new round on Monday, so keep the faith.
It’s almost the weekend again–how did THAT happen? Hard to believe it’s been a whole week since I left for Cindy’s birthday party in L.A., but there you go. Time does fly.
I plan to do some writing over Saturday and Sunday–also some of my artistic experiments. I want to try the crayon trick we discussed, coloring on a card and then using a heat gun to blend the wax. It may or may not work. Same with the concoction (clear resin, liquid acrylics, glitter) I poured into a silicone mold intended for bite-size brownies–I’ll tell you all about it, whether it’s a success or a “failure.” I don’t really believe in failure, just learning experiences. In any case, it will probably take a while for this lovely goop to dry completely.
I’ve sure been on a reading jag lately–just about to start the new Sue Grafton, “W is for Wasted”. I’ve been reading the Kinsey Millhone stories since “A is for Alibi”. I’m also rereading my own Mojo Sheepshanks books, just in case I get a chance to write a third story.
The vegetables are ripening like crazy–lots of tomatoes and squash–and the house looks great, now that it’s been repainted. Every time we finish one project, though, there seems to be another right behind it.
That’s the news for today, pardners.
Be safe, be well, and be kind.
