Well, I have so much to tell you about my trip to New York City that I hardly know where to begin! I arrived home late (VERY late) on Tuesday evening, exhausted and with a pretty good hitch in my get-along, too. That morning, still in the Big Apple, I decided I needed a tote bag that would zip, as my purse was already jammed and there was No Way I was going to fight my big, hard-sided carry-on all the way across country. So, Jenni and I made a dash to a nearby tourist-trap and on the way in, I stumbled or something, and I didn’t fall, but I sure gave my right heel a hard wrench. Wound up limping back to the hotel, and if it hadn’t been for one of those speedy carts that are always beeping through airports, we probably wouldn’t have made our connection in Minneapolis. In Spokane, I used a wheelchair to get from the gate to the baggage claim.
All very dramatic. Fortunately, a little rest has helped considerably, and I’ve been getting around on my own for the last few days–none too speedily, though!
I intended to blog on Wednesday morning, bright and early. Obviously, that didn’t happen–nor did much else. I was pooped, as usual, but, thankfully, not sick, the way I usually am after a big trip. I mostly just stared at walls.
OK, so it would be a Thursday blog. No problem.
Except that the internet was down all day.
But today is a brand new day, and here I am!
I’ll fill you in on the trip, I promise.
In the meantime, thank you for buying “Big Sky Summer” and being so patient with your wandering blogger.
You’re the best.

Well, Linda, at least 3 of us, Sam, Hilda, and myself, are glad you’re back home and on the mend and on the Blog, and we can catch up with you.
You heard us “talking” about you, didn’t you?
We were wondering, between the 3 of us, if you were sick, still gone, or whatever else could happen, and it looks like you hit some of them.
Take care and have a great, restful weekend.

Okay, something’s strange. I know I sent you a comment earlier today and I don’t see it now, nor do I see anyone else’s comments! Maybe I’m just not seeing them? I do need new glasses, this sort of confirms that if that’s the case. Here’s basically when I wrote earlier today:
Anyway welcome back, I hope your heel gets better soon, take it easy this weekend. I finished Big Sky Summer yesterday. Wonderful! Wonderful! The part where Doolittle enters the picture just cracked me up! Precious! Great writing! Ready for the next one!
Thanks for your great stories, as always!
