First, I’ll announce last week’s contest winners: Jana Vincent and Patti Belew. Congratulations, ladies–your autographed books will be on their way tomorrow. As always, a new contest begins today, so be sure to comment. Maybe next Monday, I will be announcing your name.
I stayed at home over the 4th of July weekend, and it was very peaceful. I wrote, made artist trading cards, experimented with recently discovered products–mainly the Dylusions spray-on inks I mentioned last week. The colors are absolutely delicious–I love seeing them saturate watercolor paper, love combining them, love the richness of the pigments. I also listened to audiobooks, of course, part of a suspense novel called YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN, and all of Mary Ann Williamson’s workshop, RETURN TO LOVE.
I’m really into the new book I’m writing myself–THE MARRIAGE CHARM–and you can expect a few surprises with this story. (Good ones, I hope.) It took me a while to get a handle on this one- but I’ve figured things out and I’m really rolling now.
I expect to do well at Weight Watchers this Wednesday–I’m down a little, per my own scale. I suspect the ounces gained last week were water retention or something, because I was eating the way I always do. I find the Simply Filling plan so easy to follow, and I never feel deprived, as I’ve said before.
On the 18th of July, I’ll be flying back East to visit Nora Roberts’ book store, TURN OF THE PAGE, in Boonesboro, on the 19th, between 12 and 2 pm. If you live in the area, I hope you’ll stop in and say howdy.
That’s the news for today, my friends.

I don’t remember you and Nora collaborating on a book, but I bet if you did it would be a real zinger. Too far away for me to come but I hope you have a great time. Good luck at WW. Glad you are getting the book going.

Was wondering if you will be in the Dallas area? Would love to get a chance to meet you. Was fortunate enough to meet Julie Garwood not too long ago and get Hot Shot autographed. Met Vicki Lewis Thomson years ago in Phoenix, when her first Nerd book came out. So two of my favorite authors down a few more to go.
Good luck Wednesday, keep a happy thought in your heart

Glad you had a quiet and safe Fourth.
As always, looking forward to the next volume in your new series. I finished the Marriage Pact in ebook and Audible versions. I love the way Amazon Whispersyncs two great ways to enjoy your stories.
Jack Garrett is the best narrator for the western/romance genre.

We put up hay on the 4th. Too tired by evening to do anything special. Not much reading this time of the year. In a couple of weeks it will be in then a little break before harvest. I am not too crazy about this heat but its summer. I an thankful for air conditioning. Tomorrow would have been my mothers 102nd. birthday, I still miss her every day. Blessings.

So nice to hear you kept busy over the holiday weekend and are going over to sign books with another of my favourite authors, Norah Roberts. Only wish I could be there but live in the wrong country!
I’m so glad you are beginning to sound a little better after your horrendous year and don’t forget your guardian angel is watching over you so look for the little signs they leave for you.
When I was losing weight the sensible way I would occasionally hit a plateau when it wouldn’t move and I was told to eat one item from my favourites like a couple squares of chocolate and then go back to being good and it always kick-started it again.
Do you ever think of writing more books like the Primrose Collection based on pioneer days – I have always loved them.
Love from U.K fans x

I’m so glad that your diet is going well. I have been dieting too, but I decided not to weigh myself. I’ll let the Dr. do that at my next appointment and hopefully I’ll have a nice surprise! Wishing you safe travels and an enjoyable book signing.

We spent the Fourth of July in the Chimney Picnic area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cooked hamburgers near a mountain stream and enjoyed the scenery. A beautiful day.

I took my 2 granddaughters and two friends to a big park and watched fireworks. They were outstanding, but the traffic getting out of the park was horrendous !!! I was so wishing I was home on the couch! Oh well, what we’ll do for grandchildren!
I love all of your books and have read everyone I can get my hands on. I would still recommend a book by Kristine Rivers called Redeeming Love! Excellent Christian book!

I am glad you have a restful holiday. I have often wondered if there will ever be another Mojo book? I really like that character and the adventures she finds herself in. Have a great week.

Dear Linda,
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written. I started a new job, working from home doing my HR work which I love so much. So far I’m “living the dream” so to speak! It’s just what I needed to feel like I’m back in the drivers seat of my own life! I’m so thankful and feeling Gods blessings in my life right now.
I too stayed home over the 4th. We didn’t even attend the fireworks this year. We watched the Macy’s Fireworks on TV and loved it. We didn’t even have to deal with the traffic, mosquito’s, and maneuvering the many “mosh pits” trying to find a place to sit!
I can’t wait for your new book. You’ll have to make sure you let us know when you will be releasing it. I’m reading some of Sylvia Day right now. I’m always looking for some good author’s and good reads, so keep recommending some. Since I’ve been working it’s really put a cramp on my reading which, if not careful, I could start resenting my new J-O-B! LOL!
Take care and have a blessed week!

Congrats to the winners!! Glad you had a peaceful 4th of July Linda. I did as well stayed home with family and grilled out.

Fourth was spent with family. We haven’t seen them since my husband fell while out walking. He broke his pinky finger, broke his glasses & gash on forehead. The jokes kept coming all day. He was good-hearted about it. Daughter called to say she is coming to visit. I can hardly wait. 2 weeks from Thursday.
Glad to hear that you are making progress on your next book. We can hardly wait. You’ll be fine with weight in. You seem determined to lose the weight & keep it off.

Congrats to the winners! I had to work on the 4th so when I got home I watched the fireworks from my house! I can’t wait to read your next book! I’m reading Carolyn Brown’s book How to Marry a Cowboy and loving it! I love reading about cowboy’s!
You’ve got to stop weighing yourself, my doctor told me to get rid of the scale, so I go by my clothes and the way I feel! You’ll do great this week! Anyways, have a wonderful week!

Wish I were in MD to visit you in Boonesboro. Would love to have you atuograph a book for me. I’ve read many (MANY) of your books, but the one I have on my “keeper” shelf is The Bridegroom. Besides the cover being very easy on my eyes (
) I just love the relationships between the elderly aunts, the maid, and the two main characters. I also love the heroic way the hero “saves” the heroine. That’s a story that made me laugh out loud a few times. Hang in there with your Weight Watchers. I need to get back on it too…

Congrats to the winners!! Enjoy your prizes!!! Can’t wait for your new book!!!
