#1 NYT bestselling author Linda Lael Miller

Writing and Rambling

I’m writing today, and I’ll like be at it for the next several hours, but I wanted to stop by the blog to let you know I’m thinking about you and to wish you a wonderful New Year.

2012.  I can hardly believe it.  I’m still setting goals–looking for ways to live up to this year’s word, “Thrive”–and I think I mentioned the art journal I’ve begun.  I started off by signing up for a Photoshop class, starting in late February–something I’ve always wanted to do.  Randy Travis is appearing at Northern Quest casino in February as well, and I plan to be there.  I am a major Randy Travis fan.  :) Not that going to a concert is the same as achieving a goal, except that, for me, it’s part of the process.  Part of my definition of thriving is having more fun.

As I write this blog entry, I’m awash in full-spectrum light–bought myself a special floor lamp for Christmas, to keep the winter blues at bay.  So far, so good.  I forge on with the D.I.E.T. and all I can say for sure is, my jeans still fit.  :)

I’m opening the floor for questions, informally at least.  Click on the comment button and ask your question.  I will answer as many of them as I can, right here on the blog.

Time to get back to Parable, Montana.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Linda, I'm such a huge fan. I'm pretty sure I've read every word you've ever published. Please don't stop writing anytime soon. I've been wondering for a while now if there is a love interest in your life. Was there ever a Mr. Linda Lael Miller? I know that's kind of personal, but you write about romantic relationships with such skill that you have to have personal experience to draw upon. If I'm too nosey, just say so. I'll luv ya anyway. :)

Randy…ooohhhh! Enjoy the concert. You deserve to swoon a little, after providing us with so many cowboys to swoon over. (Thanks, by the way!) Speaking of summer, daylight and not getting depressed, I got my "dawn simulator" alarm clock – LOVE IT! Thanks for bringing this excellent invention to my attention! Cheers!Hilda

Linda,Your books are the reason I read…not joking. I anxiously await each new book and from the moment I get it I do not put it down until I've finished it, usually takes 5-8 hours. I love them all!My question is how are you doing on your CPAP machine? I have sleep apnea and have been on it for three years and have noticed such a difference in the way I sleep. I will not sleep without it.Thanks,Ange

Hi Linda, I love your books but my favorites are your Mckettrick series. I wanted to know if you ever plan on writing a story about John Henry? I loved your latest Mckettrick book so much and I can't get enough. Thanks

Linda, You are my absolute favorite writer. I was wondering if you could blog about how you got started in writing? I bet it will inspire some new writers. I think it's awesome that seeing Randy Travis is one of your goals. I have to see George Strait in concert before he retires. (if he ever does)

Happy New Year, dear Linda! As everyone else has said, we all love your books. I am sorry to say that I have not been able to find several, (The Rustler & The Bridegroom) on CDs. I drive 40 minutes to work and have nearly worn out The Man from Stone Creek and A Wanted Man. I love them. They are definately my favorites. Love that Sam. Still looking for my own!May your new year be everything you wish it to be.
