WONDER WOMEN!

IMG_0364

Hello, all you Wonder Women out there!  (And Wonder Men.)  I’m posting this TED talk by Amy Cuddy because I found it fascinating, and I hope you will, too.

This week’s winners are: Linda Richards and Marjorie Martin.  Wonder Women, for sure.  :)

The new contest begins immediately.  Simply comment, and you’re in.  Two winners will be chosen at random, notified, and announced right here next Monday.  They’ll each receive an autographed book, just as Linda and Marjorie will.

Enjoy!

I love the Wonder Woman picture. It took me back to my childhood because I watched that show all the time. We didn’t have a lot of women superheros back then. It’s still slanted toward men but it’s getting better. Lol 8)

So here is Texas we have had some very crazy weather, all in one weekend we went thru all four seasons and then some. FromFriday in the high 70’s to cooler and thunderstorms Sat. To tornados Sat. Night to mid 40’s on Sunday. So have said if you don’t like the weather, wait a day it will change. That has proven to be very true. Sunday it was in the low 30’s and by We’d. We are looking to be in mid 60’s. For someone like Linda, planting would be a tough thing to do. Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and is ready to start the new year!

I’m confused. Last year I planted a “bulb garden” because I thought it would be easy to take care of, since I really don’t have a green thumb. Last night I see my gladiola leaves sticking out of the ground 12″ high and my daffodils at 10″ high. What ‘s happening? It’s cold outside! I’m talking in the 30’s! Am I really that good now or is this how early they bloom? LOL!!!

Loved the Wonder Woman show! Can’t wait for the new book to arrive. Pre-ordering today. We only wish we had your snow here in Vermont. Love the snowman. Our ski areas are desperate for significant snowfall. Forecasted to get 1-3 inches here in the valley and hopefully six plus inches in the mountains.

A great video. (Don’t think I ever watched a complete TED talk.)

On a smaller scale, you can fake it till you feel it when people ask how you are (I am in retail sales) and I tell them I am great, terrific, etc. I may not start out feeling it, but after just a few responses, my day turns around and I am feeling it!

Hello Linda, hope your holidays were the best. I really enjoyed the speech and I found myself thinking how my own actions have changed over the years. It never occurred to me but in hindsight I have become a strong foundation for all those around me. It is a wonderful feeling considering the insecure little mouse I once was. Stay warm and well this winter!! God Bless….
