With patches of blog

Well, it’s been crazy busy around here, and that’s why the blog has been a big sketchy lately.

This is the day!  In a few hours, I leave for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, and I’m VERY excited–it’s always fun to watch all those cowboys walking away, if you know what I mean.  :)  Then there’s the shopping over at Cowboy Christmas–yeehaw!!–an experience I always enjoy.  Not to mention the rodeo itself–believe it or not, my favorite event is bullriding.  (You’d think I would have noticed there weren’t any pickup men.  :))  I’m mostly packed and ready to leave for the airport around eight a.m.

Jenni is going along and my cousin, Alisa (Lael) Fillion will be joining us tomorrow, traveling all the way from the D.C. area.  This is her first finals rodeo, and she’s ready for fun.

I’m going to try to blog while in Vegas, but I can’t promise because for whatever reasons, I seem to have more than my share of technical difficulties whenever I travel.  (Remember when my iPhone jumped down an elevator shaft in New York?)  If I can’t blog, I’ll definitely tweet, and I’ll fill you in on the whole trip, either while it’s actually going on, or when I get back home.

Best get moving–I need way more coffee.

Be well, be blessed.

Would have to agree with that statement about watching them walk away! Enjoy your time in Las Vegas and can’t wait to hear all about it when you return. Supposed to be some good country music there too!
Got the exciting email from Amazon.com this morning that the new “Big Sky” book will be shipping earlier than expected! Early Merry Christmas to us avid followers!
    Safe travels Linda and enjoy!

How exciting!! Wish I were going as well. This rodeo is the super bowl of rodeos, I’ve read! Would LOVE the shopping, too, but don’t think I’d have near enough money to buy all I’d see for others. That’s the fun part of shopping, giving it away :-)
    Enjoy & be blessed,
    SherryNan

Oh how I wish I could go with you. My 2yo and I have been watching on the tv all week. We love bullriding also but have been rooting for Mary Walker in barrel racing. Have to agree with you about watching those wranglers walking away. I think the best picture I ever saw was a bunch of them sitting on a fence rail, oh mercy! Have a great time and will be looking forward to reading all about it. If you can post some pix that’ll be the icing on the cake.

Nice to meet you, Linda, please take good care of Alisa. She is one of my best girlbuddy. All those bright lights and tight pants may go straight to her head. She will be wide eyed and full of wonder! LOL! Ya’ll have the most wonderful time ever . . . then tell me all about it.

    Later, Dixie

Dear Linda, I have also been crazy busy with the end of the semester and trying to get ready for the upcoming holidays, but I would be remiss in not thanking you for my signed book. How exciting to have it arrive in the mail. What a wonderful surprise. I have read every one of your books, many of them multiple times, and having a signed copy is such an honor. Thank you so much and enjoy the rodeo! I can’t wait for the next in the Big Sky series. ShariG

Have a great time in Vegas — can’t make it there this year, but will be there for PBR in the Spring & Fall, and the WNFR in 2013 … and watch those cowboys walk away (with the gold buckles, of course!!!! – isn’t that what you’re watchin’??)
Mary Walker’s doin’ great — Trevor is tops — and California’s rootin’ for Luke!!! Yeehaw! Let ‘er buck!!
