My weekend

I DID get some writing done, though the whole process is moving much more slowly than I’d like.  On Saturday, I was too exhausted to work, so I puttered, slept, listened to Lisa See’s wonderful book, “Snowflower and the Secret Fan”.  I’m now RE-listening to “The Joy Luck Club”, and enjoying it even more than I did the first time.

I managed to restring my prayer and meditation beads, and I also made a couple of bracelets, the stretchy kind.  I’m still having a challenge with getting the tension in the cord just right–but I press on.  One bracelet is

Today’s weather is uncannily spring-like–sunny, brisk but not cold, bright as a blue-green gemstone polished to a high shine.  :)  (Yes, I definitely have gemstones on my mind.  The more I learn about them, the more fascinated I become.)  How I love a discovery–no matter how small!  I am planning some experiments and if anything exciting comes of it, I’ll be sure to tell you all about it.
