I may levitate :)

My giant, beautiful flourite sphere arrived from China yesterday, and I’m so excited.  The thing is HUGE.  This being my favorite member of the mineral family, the stone I call the spiritual super-conductor, I have big plans for using this one in meditation, etc.  (Levitation probably won’t be happening, especially if I’m holding the thing–it weighs in at a serious 4000 grams.)  I’m planning to keep this not-so-little powerhouse in my room, near my bed–most of the time.  I might move it around–to the office, say, or the living room–if the need arises.  As I’ve mentioned before, all stones have

Monkey Mind and Other Stuff

Monkey mind, of course, is a term meditators (and others) use to describe the way one’s thoughts tend to leap, screeching, from limb to limb and tree to tree whenever one is attempting to concentrate on the subject at hand.  As an ADDer, I have first-hand knowledge of the condition.  :)  Meditation helps enormously, but this morning, as I sat in my favorite seat, which I refer to as my Uncle Harry chair because it reminds me of him, my brain was all over the place.  You might say it went ape-s*&t–(sorry, can’t resist the occasional pun).  I just kept going
