#1 NYT bestselling author Linda Lael Miller

Questions, questions, questions :) (Thank you)

First, the Weight Watchers update.  I’m still stuck in the same old range, so I decided to switch from the Simply Filling plan to the Points system for a while, and I’ve gotten back into exercise, too.

Now, to answer as many of your questions as I can–I replied to a few inside the comment section itself, so if you don’t see your answer here, it’s probably there.  How’s that for verbal juggling?  :)

“Will you ever write about Mojo again?”  I certainly hope to write more about Mojo, but at the moment, I just can’t get to it.

“When are you coming to Cheyenne to do a book signing?” I LOVE Cheyenne, but these things are decided by my publisher.  If I get the opportunity, I will surely take it!

“I am unable to comprehend how you process so much reading and listening–”  Well, I have ADD.  :)  I have a great deal of trouble doing nothing and audio books, of course, allow me to absorb stories while I’m exercising, doing art, trying to go to sleep, etc.

“Is there any chance we might see a book collaboration with you and Debbie Macomber?”  That would be wonderful, but we’re both so busy, I can’t see that happening.

Where to get the vinyl quotes: I bought them on eBay.  Will post the sellers’ names later.  They’re really quite inexpensive and loads of fun.

Why is Holt McKettrick’s wife named Lorelei in McKettrick’s Choice and Lydia in An Outlaw’s Christmas.  Entirely my fault.  There was a big gap between the writing of those two books and I misremembered Lorelei’s name.  I should have checked.  There ARE proofreaders and they do a great job, but they also depend on the author to get things like this right.  Again, the responsibility is mine.

More answers tomorrow!

Thanks for the “answers”. To address a pet peeve of mine, how come there are so many errors in books these days – sentence structure, misspelled words, no punctuation – just to mention a few? One other is the difference between ground and floor. I find more usage of ground, when to me it should be floor. Ground is outside and floor is in a building.

So glad you have the same failings as the rest of us. We tend to put you on a pedistal and forget you forget things or have weight issues along with us.

How can I become a proof reader. I see so many mistakes in books and correct them in all my books that I read both paperback, hardcover and wish I could with e-books.

I’m not sure if I missed something or not. In your blog you say you answered additional questions in the comment section, but I didn’t see and “answers”. Is there another page I should go to? I’m really hoping to have my question answered about follow up books on the two Creed series…Arizona and Montana Creeds.

Stay strong and committed on your change with WW. It will work!

I find the answers to questions good. I read at least to books at one time. I have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I use to read three but I no longer work. My friends always wonder how I don’t get the books mixed up. I have always been that way. I really enjoy reading. I also like when someone introduces me to a new author. Have a good rest of the week.

Thanks for answering my question about Lorelei/Lydia. All the years of teaching language arts make me more aware of things like that, I guess. I would LOVE to be a proofer.

I’m currently re-reading the Creed books and am now in Creed’s Honor. My husband is a twin, so the relationship between Conner and Brody is very interesting.

    Thanks again!

Actually, the proofreaders DO NOT do a good job. I cannot tell you how many times I have found names wrong, places wrong,
storylines wrong in books. Yours are not the only ones. As a reader, it is very upsetting. I would think publishers would be interested in getting books right.

Waiting for Bex’s book to come out.
I’m not into history books so I don’t know if I will read them. More cowboys and romance. Thanks for all the great stories. Keep up the good work with weight watchs my neice lost 100 lbs from them . Took a year and she kept working on it walking the dogs a couple of times a day.
