In response to Sherry’s suggestion about a meet-up…I belong to a web fan club of another major author and some 12 years ago we were all invited to her home to help her celebrate her birthday. Her publishers warned her of all the terrible things that could happen but she went ahead anyway and we had the most delightful and entertaining weekend with her!! Many of us became fast friends and have traveled back and forth across the country more than once to visit each other! And, even though it isn’t Debbie’s fan club, several members came from the east coast to help us celebrate Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove Days and to see the sights in the area.

This online group has been in existence for over 13 years and doesn’t show any signs of running down. We know more about each others families than we do our own! :) We share births, deaths, weddings, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. And, oh, my… do the pictures ever fly back and forth! :)

We all feel fortunate that we were invited to meet with this woman and are always praising her for being the catalyst that created so many wonderful friendships. And, yes, she came through the weekend unscathed, is still writing, and we still love her. :)

So these things do happen and can turn out so very well!! I’m just sayin’…..

I just went to Barnes and Noble’s website and they have a nook book called “Christmas of the Red Chiefs”. Is this a reprint or new?

It’s a reprint of a Christmas story I wrote several years ago.

This is a really cute and sweet story – you’ll enjoy it! (I have it an an anthology that came out a few years ago and I re-read it pretty much every Christmas season.)
