#1 NYT bestselling author Linda Lael Miller

Busy day!

Whenever somebody has a birthday, the whole crew celebrates, and today it was Jeremy’s turn.  A great time was had by all.

After things settled down, I decided I needed some art therapy.  I did some sketches and painted all afternoon.  Also poured a few candles–don’t you love the smell of beeswax?

The weather is simply glorious.  The tulips and daffodils are rioting in my flowerbeds, and the birds are all back from their winter homes.  I love watching them–the other day, one of them hovered like a little heliocopter just the other side of the kitchen window, peering in, as if he might be wondering what the heck these crazy humans were up to now.  Of course I’ve seen hummingbirds fly in place like that, but never a regular bird.

Thanks for all your book suggestions.  I’m going to print out the comment page and check them out.  My only lament: so many books, so little time.

Here’s wishing you a lovely weekend, wherever you are.  Be sure to comment if you haven’t done so already; we’ll be announcing two new winners on Monday morning.

See you then.

Thanks for the Blog, Linda. I would have liked to have seen that bird.

I pray you and yours have a good and godly weekend, and we’ll “see” you Monday, if The Good Lord is willing and the creek/Creek don’t rise.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jeremy!!!!

You’ve been busy blogging. It’s always a pleasure reading about life up in WA as I’m a native of Seattle, but spent lots of time in eastern WA and love it there.

Birds are truly amazing. We put a cardboard box on our porch to recycle. A flower pot got placed in it, laying on its side. Before we could get rid of it, a bird built a nest and laid eggs in it. Guess I’m stuck with the box a little longer then I thought. Lol

    Hi Linda,

Glad that you are enjoying Spring! It is lovely to see everything come back to life after the long winter months.

I am just finishing the last of The McKettricks of Texas and have thoroughly enjoyed this series. You are such a wonderful easy writer and storyteller.

Thank you so much for your wonderful writing as it takes me away from reality living and let’s me live my dream life of being on a ranch.

    Cheers from British Columbia

I am happy you are all wonderful. It was a sad day for us at on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, after my nephews 10th birthday we went back to the farm, and we had a hit and run an SUV struck or family dog Bingo they never came to see if they hit a child or the dog, this is a coward the trauma the children had to endure and their screams was horrible, I ran to Bingo’s side as she has been with me 24/7, my sister in law and I had rushed her to the ER Vet 35 miles away, I had Bingo across my legs talking and comforting her all the way, in the end the SUV went so fast that they broke both her pelvic bones and punctured her lung. We had three choices surgery that would cost $8000.00 with a plate in her pelvic area but no guarantees, second, take her home go to the Vet put her on pain meds and she would have to go outside in a sling, third, quality of life in the end we had to put her down, she was a herding dog, ran like the wind, never bit anyone the sweetest dog you would ever want in your life that was taken away, the sad thing was it happened on the property in front of all of us. Please keep your pets safe, and never leave a hit and run. :(
