I want you to know that your post made me cry! My dreams tell me that someday things will be okay; life has been particularly hard, filled with illness and depression, but I've come to realize myself on paper and on canvas. On those substrates I have been strengthened. One of my dream-bulbs is to be a published author, but it is taking a long time. As I'm writing my books, I feel like I'm stuck in one spot and going nowhere! But, perhaps, this feeling of "motionless" or "dormancy" is really just my bulb taking root and strengthening itself. No matter what the future holds, I have faith that my dream-bulb will grow strong. Thank you so much for your post, and for reminding me that God is quiet. :) Have a good one!

Linda thank you for your inspiring words. It was much needed after a hard day!!

I am a 4H volunteer leader, I have been working hard at over comming a lot of challenges in our club. Last year we were afraid we might need to close it or merge with another club. I have been learning a lot about positiveness, going to a lot of training, & striving to be a better leader. It is great to be involved with a positive youth development program. I am proud of the club, this year we still have challenges, but we are going strong, our enrollment is up, & we have more adult volunteers.

My hidden dream bulb is to see the youth in 4H thrive, in 4H and in their personal lives. To become strong & independent adults.

Deep thoughts for sure and made me stop and think about the truths of your statements and ponder about the miracle of life when the beautiful bulbs bloom after a winter's sleep and how beautiful they are. I love it when my hyacinths bloom as the fragrance is fantastic and I'm so longing for the snow to be gone long enough for them as well as any tulips or jonquils I have to bloom too and the dogwood, pear, apple and redbud trees too. Sure does make one feel in awe at the beauty that God has created for us mere humans to enjoy.

Hi Linda,
I am Stacey Carey, we have chatted a bit during the most recent facebook chat, one of my hidden dreams that I am currently trying to make a reality is my career in quilting, and my other secret secret dream is to write a book, but the problem with that is that I have not written in many years. It is hard to find the time.

I'm with Sherry Wallace...my dream bulb would be a hard working, hard loving man in my life...I've questioned many times since my divorce if they really exist. I know there are a chosen few out there, as I have friends who have them has husbands..I guess they are taken already! I also dream that my 2 kids find everlasting love in a partner down the road...I pray they never go through a divorce like me. I feel as parents, that me and my EX, let our kids down and that has been weighing on me more and more lately. Thank you for your writings...books and blogs!

Wow! What a beautiful blog today! And the comments... Wow u are so wonderful and all I have to say is keep your dream bulbs watered and fertilized and MAKE them a reality. I think of that scripture in the bible that talks how with man things seem impossible but with God ALL things are possible! Like in previous blogs my dream is to conceive a child yet that is not in Gods plan yet I have adopted 3 beautiful children in which I look at it that its better than conceiving 1 I got 3! Lol with no pain no weight gain etc. The only difference is that instead of growing in my belly they just grew in my heart!! So my dream bulb is for my kids ages 12 10 and 9 may u keep all your dreams in reach and remember to keep God first, u can do all things through Christ who gives u strength!

When I read your books, I identify so much with the characters both male and female. You draw them with words so beautifully that they seem like good friends that are hard to part with at the end of the book. I think that is a bit why I keep reading and rereading the McKettrick books and have made a family tree to try to keep track of who is related to whom and in what generation. It is also true of the Creeds and O'Ballivans. It is now true of John Carmody's sons. I suspect the next Montana book will be about Boone and Tara. Their story isn't complete yet and I can't wait to read more about them.

When I think of bulbs planted and getting ready to sprout, I think of my grandchildren. I hope for all six of them that they will find someone as honest and loyal as the heroes and heroines in your books to love and with whom they can build a meaningful and happy life they are proud of. They don't have to be perfect. They can make mistakes. But at the heart of it they have to be good people. That is what I hope for. One of the things I love about the characters in your books is that they are not perfect, but they have integrity and when they commit they do it with their whole hearts.

My special bulb would have been married with kids of my own( would love to meet a Mckettrick or Creed Man) but I don't that will ever happen. You really make me think about life. I love your books because the are so full of all our human traits that we can all relate to them.
