Finished reading three of your books during the past month and really enjoyed them. I have been an avid reader of Larry McMurtry novels and ran across some of yours in our Community Center Library and have found them as ggod if not more enjoyable than his. Bought three more of yours in recent weeks so have got them to look forward to. Keep up the excellent work.
Enjoyed reading about the recent reunion you attened. Sounds like you all had a great time. We have tried to have family reunions every five years, the last one in 2006. Last year would have been the next one but had to cancel that after one of our three grand daughters passed away in early April. She was 17 years old and was having four wisdow teeth removed. During the procedure she went into cardiac arrest and the dental crew let her go without oxygen for 6-10 minutes. She was in a coma and passed away six days later on April 6. If your interested, you can do a web search on her name-Jenny Olenick- and you should fine many news articles on the subject. For now we are holding off on the next reunion.

Looking forward to reading more of your books, they sure help me get my mind off of other things. Good luck in your future endevors.

My first romance book was by Linda Lael miller. I have read just about all her books! I love her books. My best friend and I read them together . I had to buy a lot of them on eBay. Linda please keep writing wonderful books!

Hang on to those “classic’s” you found. It is so hard to find them these days and a few are now abbreviating or editing the body of these wonderful works.
I love that you are learning your family history. I researched the Hohman/Huebner Family Geneology a few years backs. Knowing where we came from helps us go forward in our own lives. An anchor to the past so to speak. My own family were Mennonites who imigrated to the Amana Colonies here in Iowa in the 1880′s, from Germany. He was carpet maker, old Johann. I never really understood their sacrifices until recently. Their stay there was short but what a rich history they left behind. Each member with the exception of the Patriach, served our country. Even a few of the women. And my Grandmother left us her old recipes from way back in the depression days. She had a way of taking a few scraps and making a feast that fed a family of 5. Two of our family members left home in 1885 for your neck of the woods. Ludwig & Maxwell settled in Tacoma Washington and married, worked, an helped to build up that area.
So glad to hear the reunion was a success.

You are a awesome lady and I feel as if I know you. Your writing is wonderful. I love the McKettrick’s,O’Ballivan’s,Creed’s, all of them. I always tell people if I win the lottery I’m building a ranch house just like Angus’ McKettrick’s house. I keep all your books so I can re-read them and for referrances right down to the dishes they use, I love Blue Willow dishes that my grandmother used. I don’t ride horses but I love them for pets. I dream of being Lizzie McKettrick. thank you for all your books.

So glad you ahd a wonderful weekend. Oooo, I love Goodwill shopping, I always find the best things. Not that I need anymore things but it is so addicting. Haven’t gotten in to “An Outlaw Christmas ” yet, finishing up another book but I am so tempted to put it away. I am practicing self control.

So glad you had a wonderful family reunion, & just think, you have confederate ancestors . My father was from MS, but mother’s family came from Ohio, so guess you could say I’m half & half. I’m visiting my cousin in Knoxville now, & fixing to introduce her to the McKettricks by starting her out on High Country Bride. Know she will become addicted like me to all your memorable characters!

Linda, I too, went to our family reunion on Saturday, and it was a good gathering. We only ate once, but it was food each person brought from home, or KFC or the Walmart Deli. GOOD!

We also had a short Memorial Service for a cousin who died last November.

I wanted to tell you about the best advice I’ve received in a long, long time…it actually came from you, through J.T. Wainwright in Springwater Wedding. I sort of added to it, and took a word or two away, but the advice is still shining through…

You/J.T. said…If you go through life worrying about everything and being afraid of what might happen, you’ll miss all the good stuff in life. The only choice we have is to show up for life every day and make the best of things as they come.

I only read this a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been trying to put it into practice every day.

Hi Linda, I can totally relate to the “should be donating, not buying” comment. I could open my own thrift store! Love reading your stories. “An Outlaw’s Christmas” provided me entertainment while waiting in airports and flying from Wisconsin back to Utah this last weekend.
