5 Reasons I Love Tuesdays

I love Tuesdays.  I know, sounds weird, but there it is.

1. I especially enjoy the Tuesdays that follow a three-day weekend.  Although I enjoy holidays as much as the next person, I’m basically a social animal.  I like to have people around, and the ranch hands are back.  Also, after a mail-less holiday Monday, I get packages, magazines, sometimes even a good old-fashioned personal letter.  :)

2. Tuesday is New-Book Day.  And oh how I love new books!  After all these years, it still gives me a thrill to log on to Audible.com or browse in a book store, checking out the latest offerings from favorite authors and the ones I hadn’t discovered yet.  I read fiction, nonfiction, anything that catches my interest.  (Being a Gemini, I am interested in just about everything.)

3. I rarely have appointments on Tuesdays.  I love days when I can stay home with my dogs, cats and the people who populate the stories I write.

4. Tuesdays are Careful-Eating Days.  (Wednesday, alas, is Weight Watchers.)  So I’m more mindful about what I eat, knowing I’m going to have to step on that scale the next day.  Now, to carry that over into the other six days of the week.  :)

5. Tuesdays are quiet days.  Normal Mondays around here are a little hectic, but by Tuesday, things settle down a bit, and I can concentrate and do what I love best: write stories.

You live on a ranch, I live on a farm. But I agree with you on every one of your five points. Well, except maybe #4. My eating is cut down as much as it’s ever gonna be. I just need to exercise more!

I’m half agreeable with number1st one, like being around people. Although I like being able to be quiet around them to and just sitting back and watching. Number 2 whole heartedly, was born back when 21st was Gemini, now for a few years they want to say I’m Cancer. I’ll call BS on that, but…. Also new blu ray/dvds come out. They use to come out on Fridays, then switched to Tuesdays. Theatre movies would come out whenever, now they’re on Fridays, so. .. It’s all about change. Some not so bad.

I also love days when I don’t have to go to town etc. Even after retiring life is very busy and down time is really appreciated. I truly don’t know how I managed when I was working–but I did.

I love Tuesdays also. when I walk on Tuesdays they aren’t as much traffic on the roads as the other days of the week and I know that for a fact here in my neck of the woods..I also love reading most everything Except Ghost stories or Vampires, and I know you love your ghost stories. Those books I can’t dill with. Good luck at WW tomorrow.

I don’t think I have a favorite day of the week, they all are about the same. I have to leave and go to the doctor today and I hate having to go somewhere. It seem like it messes up your whole day.

    What wonderful sentiments.

I also love browsing bookstores. Thank goodness for Amazon kindle books, and the availability of digital books through our local libraries And, of course, audible. Love the audio books. Alas, I have to wait for a once-a-month trip to Albuquerque to actually browse a Barnes and Noble.

As you share so many of your book and audible choices, thought I’d share one back. I just watched the wonderful series on Amazon Prime adapted from the Anthony Trollope novel. Screenplay by the brilliant Jullian Fellowes.

I loved it so much that I am now listening to the audiobook with Timothy West narration from audible.

I just love it when I fall in love with a classic author.

Oops! So much for the tags. They didn’t work. My bad.

The name of the Anthony Trollope novel made into a series on Amazon is “Dr. Thorne.”

My favorite day of the work week is Weds. You’re finally over the hump of the week. Monday and Tuesdays are hectic because you’re trying to get work done that came in over the weekend and Thursday and Friday are busy because of the weekend coming up. Weds is a lull in the busy. Lol

I love any day I get snail mail. In this electronic age, there is nothing nicer than to sit down and read a hand written letter that someone has taken the time to write to you. Email is quick, yes, but seeing someone’s hand writing is like having them talk to you. And yes, I still write letters (and refuse to use ecards for birthdays and Christmas!)

I love your lifestyle! I also enjoy those days when I don’t have to run errands, go to appts. or anything that takes me away
from my animals and the old homestead. Such a blessing God
gave me after 39 years of working and living in rentals; apts
or houses. Mine. All mine! Well, it’s God’s, but I get to take
care of it while I’m here. Hope you had a memorable
    Memorial Day.

I have not gotten a hand written letter in ages and ages. I always look though. Mostly bills and junks or a favorite magazine. I love books too. I always look at the book counters or go by a book store. I would have a house full but do try to trade or sell at used book store or give my extras away. I could sit and read most of the day but unfortunately dishes need doing, floors need swept etc etc. I do try to work with my young mustang filly most days. So I am busy I guess for a 78 year young farmers wife.

I could spend hours in a book store. In fact I have spent hours in book stores. When I am in Wal Mart or Target, I automatically go to the book section. Love books and love to read.
